Hi folks

 

Im looking to rebuild my brake master cylinder. Can anyone tell me what kit i need..

 

i have a non servo setup with a green tag master cyl. looks identical to a yellow tag... 

 

is it just earlier?

I have just done this with an identical one. It is an in between master cylinder and kits are impossible to find.

I used , will check, I think a yellow tag one but the fittings for the reservoir are different so don't damage them.

The seals fit ok though so a good compromise. Mine ended up fine to be honest, it's just not 'all' replaced. The only bits that needed replacing on mine were the dust cap and lower seal but did the others anyway.

I'm fairly certain that is a yellow tag master cylinder as all green tags are horizontal servo types to my knowledge :) if not, someone will be along to correct me in sure :)

But it will only do the lower piston. The top piston requires a seal too but the chances of that needing to be replaced are slim as too far away from the crud that comes in from a worn dust seal.

superstar! ive ordered the kit, so will see how i get on.

 

i do have a spare yellow tag (but piston is stuck inside) can use for bits if i get stuck
