My daily is up for sale. It was only ever a temporary car for me, not my kind of car. I ended up with having to find a car quick in one day and it had to be local so this was pretty much all I could find on the day. To be honest though, it's been a good car. Not let me down once, drives well, starts fine, stops fine, no rattles or whatever.
105,000 miles on the clock, it needs a good clean up and it needs an oil and filters change, other than that it's good to go.
Taxed it at the start of this month, so it's good for tax until the end of November. The MOT was done on this on Tuesday, so it now has 12 months MOT and 5 months tax. I've been looking around at these and they vary massively in price. It seems that tidy ones like this go for anything up to £1000, yet tatty ones go for £2-300 if they've got no tax or ticket. For some reason, lots of people seem to be starting to use them for rallying. I guess they're a cheap RWD car and they do actually go OK.
It's actually a great little car and I'd happily jump in it now and drive it 500 miles knowing it wouldn't let me down. Never uses any oil, nor water. Cruises lovely at motorway speeds, returns about 45mpg at 70mph on a cruise. I average 38mpg on A-B roads driving at speeds of 30-60mph on commute drives etc. The only advisories on the MOT were the number plates are a little tatty and the rear tyres have some wear on them, still lots of miles left in them I'd say though!
The remote central locking and alarm work fine, the electric front windows and mirrors work fine, there aren't any faults with anything on the car. Air con is lovely and cold, trip computer works perfectly, no dash warning lights or anything. It's been well looked after by its previous owners too, having been in the same family for about 10-12 years before I owned it.
Any questions, please ask. I am tempted to keep this as a spare runaround car if it doesn't sell, not in any rush to move it along other than just for more space in the drive. A pending house move and pending new car are the only reason I want to get it sold.
Now it's got a full MOT on, I'll say £750 or offers as I have to put a price on.
