Hi, my head used to have a chamber cc of 24.8 but I have had to it skimmed to remove a slight bow in between 2 & 3. This was done a local engine remanufacturer not a race engine builder so I don't know what the new cc's are. I would guess he took of about 0.002 to 0.005 (I asked him to tack off the minimum). How much would you think this has lowered the chamber by/too ? Trying to work out my compression ratios and how much to take off the top of the block.

Bit of plexiglass and a syringe and you can easily find out the chamber volume.

I use an old CD! A smear of Vaseline to hold it in place on the chamber and a syringe to fill it up.

No, 1cm^2 is an area, you're measuring volume.

1,000cc = 1 litre, right?

1 litre is 10cm x 10cm x 10cm, so 10x10x10 = 1000cm^3

1CC = 1CM^3
