So a friend of mine's dad had an old mini with a Cherry Bomb in her, the mini is no more but he has the muffler lying around in a shed. It needs a bit of rust repair etc but it will bolt straight on. 
Should I take it up and repair etc and then use it or sell it on after a fresh coat of paint?

What are your guy's opinions on Cherry Bomb mufflers on mini's?

I can deal with the noise, my truck (found on my intro thread) the exhaust is basically straight pipe haha

I suppose if you are ripping around they are annoying, but I prefer low and slow so I think it could be nice as i'm not red lining it all the time, like some of the chavs with cherry's

I do agree, but they rip around in their corsas and Fiat Puntos etc. You NEVER see a chav in a Mini because we are far more educated than them haha. We know what a nice car is and that massive speakers and a 1.6 doesn't mean everything.

Yeah seeing as it's free, take it. I'd sell it after though. Nice choice of mini exhausts out there instead of chavy one

I was also going to get a new down pipe (http://www.minispare...px|Back to shop) and if I sold the Cherry, I would get the RC40 box.

Cherry bombs are alright if it's suited to your car, they don't make it louder but they often do because people replace their original silencers with them

Only one thing worse than a chav with a cherrybomb and that's a chav with a cherry bomb and a fake dump valve. Stupid noises both ends.

ugh fake dump valves, makes me want to cry.

Some idiot drove past me today in an MG ZR 160 and that thing was louder than my straight pipe v8 truck and a lot raspier, wasn't pleasant.
