Which brakes?

I am looking at going for 4 pots.
I am also looking at some porn... AKA, KAD 4 pots!!
But what are these like compared to MiniSports? (MiniSport is really cheap ATM)
Also with upgrade in calapers, what sort of disks shall I get?
I don't fancy going though pads like no-one business, but still want a strong pedal!!
So would Blacstuff pads, and Vented disks, cope with some heavy braking?
Cheers

metro vented is over kill for most minis - unless you are kicking out 120bhp plus

You do know KAD do 6-pots that only fit under 13s (and not 12s......)? Although I don't *think* the discs are actually any bigger than 8.4".

theres another company out there that makes the separate discs and alloy bell housings - ther discs are huge and only go under 13's - pretty trick

to be honest i think 6pots are a little bit over kill for a mini evan for a 1400? id say a decent set of groved discs and a decent set of pads you should be fine, id strongly recomend on not buying drilled, prone to cracking, not good. agree with maph2 a decent 8.4" set up should so u fine, think you should only be looking at the 6 pots if your doing a z-cars and evan then little ott.

I'm going to be running KAD 4-pots with 7.9" vented discs and Mintex pads with my Vauxhall conversion, and that should be ample (they're smaller too!) - the vented-ness only makes a difference against fade really, so solid ones should be fine for everyday use.
Oh yeah, and the KAD vs Minisport question....the Minisport ones are apparently an almost direct copy of the KAD calipers, only quite a bit cheaper. I think this is because they use a different grade aluminium (I think KAD's are 7075 or higher), and also the Minispares ones don't have the same sealing arrangement as the KAD ones, meaning they would be more susceptible to salt etc...

so again if you want quality then go KAD but if your straped for can and are willing to keep servicing them go minisport?Oh yeah, and the KAD vs Minisport question....the Minisport ones are apparently an almost direct copy of the KAD calipers, only quite a bit cheaper. I've not suffered any brake fade since fitting EBC products for a start, not that i've been really trying that hard mind.
