Can anyone with genuine sportpack arches put a few photos up of the fitment on your car please?

Such as the fitment to the metal wheel arch underneath.

I have some decent quality fiberglass copies fitted but i have never been too happy with the rear fitment as they come up high and dont give a nice snug fit to the wheels.

Thanks

I can show you how front ones are fitted (badly) in the the case of mine.

I'm interested as to how the rears are fitted. I'll need to remove mine soon for the impending repsray. any advice gratefully recieved. if someone gives me the pinters i'll whip  ine off pronto (oooohhh err missus) and stick some photos up on this post.

If you could get me a photo of how the arch goes along here that would be great too.

Mine sits above the metal lip (on this photo it is pretty much sat on the lip)

arches were too long, so I fitted them where I needed them and chopped them.

I would love the adjustment you get with the arches being tubbed!

If you can get me a photo of how the arch coveres the metal arch lip or if it doesn't. I am just debating if its worth me going genuine for better fitment.

The lip remains on the original sports pack minis. The arch itself is cut out much larger and also cuts through the apex panel. The lip is then folded up again. The arches themselves don't usually sit on the lip. They have captive bolts/setscrews moulded into them and holes are drilled through the wing and the apex panel and are secured by nuts on the underside (either 4mm or 5mm I cant quite remember). The bottom edge of the arch where it meets the outer sill is usually fixed by a small self tapping screw.

I once bought some fibreglass copies and it was suggested by the manufacturer that I should offer the arch up to the wing and apex panel and then draw a line on the underside of the arch. Then add on a good inch and draw another line under that one. This line is where I cut the arch of the wing and apex panel bigger. I then used hammer and dolly to carefully bend up the remaining inch and then the arch sat neatly onto this extra large lip. I just then simply bonded the arches on with tiger seal and they looked really good.

Hi, I am debating whether to buy genuine sportspack arches or fibreglass. Is the fibreglass fit any good, or would I be better off with genuine to avoid extra work/ suffer the end finish!?
Also what's the best way to join them to the body without risking filler cracking etc!?
Cheers!
