Driving me a bit nuts!

Basically intermittently my alarm keeps going off. has happened the last two nights, but also happened some weeks ago during lunch time.

The last two nights, it has gone of at around 03:00 own 04:00 am. I am positive no one is attempting to steal the car. We live in a really quite village, and there are no signs of foul play. plus it happened a couple of weeks ago during lunch time.

I know one of my hand brake quadrants is a bit sticky, but the car is in gear and doesn't roll. So I am sure the car isn't moving.

What else could it be? Nothing like starting the day by hearing your alarm going of and rushing into the garden in your pants!

Is there any weather changes when it happens?

Mine did this when the battery was failing. A new battery later and it hasn't done it since.

I would check the doors, boot and bonnet switches for corrosion/dirt. My passenger door switch was dirty and the interior light would not come on sometimes. No alarm though.

Do you leave the windows open? Sometimes the wind causes the alarms to go nuts!!

Something else to consider is that a switch bracket or a switch itself might have taken a permanent set. If that happens, a switch might not be getting depressed far enough.
