Highly modified/custom mini Complete nut and bolt rebuild in 2011 by myself

Magazine featured last year(will come with car)

Most if not all receipts since build have been kept, over £20,000 spent Grabs attention where-ever it goes, Never been pulled over by the police for random stops since owning the car.

Won 1st place at Malvern last year under custom/modified class.

Very reluctant sale but space is an issue due to losing my garage and change of working hours means less time to spend on it.

 I have owned this car since 2009 and used it as a daily driver for the last year. It puts a smile on my face everytime I use it! The car will come with all paperwork I have, the receipts, magazine feature, pictures of the build and photos from appearances in other mags. It will also include all the info I have collected regarding part numbers as it has a collaboration of many parts...fan belts....spark plugs...rotor caps etc so it will be easy for the new owner to identify where to get acess to new parts.

 This car is checked over every month mechanically. I have a checklist that I will handover for all fittings on the car that can be carried on by the new owner if they wish...This was purely as a safety precaution and preventive maintenance. The car will come with a spare cam belt/rotor cap/arm/plugs/leads/coil/fuel pump/gear lingake spares/ball joint/spacer adapters/wheel nuts/innertubes and many more. These were always kept in the car for potential breakdowns.

Please note...although this can be/is used as a daily driver, it only has the bare minimum to make it road legal...this was built purely for the track at the time (this has only every seen santa pod dragway once!)

It had a new engine fitted last year...a later spec with 44,000miles. All stripped and cleaned/new belt fitted (I have pictures that show condition of engine during the build)

 It also handles great unlike some Vauxhall conversions but has never been set up professionally...I have never found the need to.

The car was last weighed at 580Kg with paperwork to confirm.

This was rolling roaded at 120bhp at the wheels last year but has since had a new race head/fuel pump/adjustable vernier /exhaust and manifold fitted. The car is running rich and isn’t great on fuel...I have ran it like this since owning it. This can be set up to achieve a better mpg but the initial cost I have never got round to funding.

Insurance for me 24 at the time 6 points and all mod’s declared £ 1000 per year I want to sell this to a mini enthusiast to give the car the best possible chance of not being rolled on the first corner by a boy racer! This car has become part of the family and has memories attached to it so I would like to sell it knowing that it’s likely to be looked after.

 Few Bad points

  • Drivers door window Mech has broken, works but has to be persuaded(I think I have a spare door and mech that I can give to the buyer) ·
  • Paintwork isn’t the best...few imperfections/scratches/chips absolute minimul rust if any...any inspection under and inside car welcome... ·
  • Passengers door only opens from inside( I Built it this way but could be seen as a bad point) ·
  • Wheel paint could do with freshening up ·
  • One scratch on roof and roof vent has a slight bubble in the carbon fibre weave(small) ·
  • No seatbelt for passenger seat ·
  • Fuel gauge doesn’t ever reach zero(reads in a percent and 3% is empty) It alarms at 5% but can be changed to what ever you like. ·
  • Few hairline cracks in some of the fibreglass panels

 

Quite minimal but please don’t expect a concourse car more of a built for purpose. I have probaly missed some information off(which i will update if I realize!)
