K i am changing the front suspension but need to know the exact size of the biolt under the bonnet i need to undo as i dont have one the right size so need to buy one but dnt want to buy the wrong one ne ideas?

What size is the bolt for the front suspension

you mean the big "tower" bolt on the crossmember holding the subframe in?
( I can check in the garage at half time, but someone may know it off the top of their head!

i THINK it 1 5/16" (1 inch and five sixteenths) better check tho i drink alot of cider

The socket you will need is 1.5/16" Rover Mini, Austin Allegro 1100/1300, Maxi etc hub nuts
but also fits the top tower subframe bolts, and steering wheel nut

i found it, went down halfords and got a couple of sizes and went outside and checked them before i brought it
it is a 33mm in new money

There is no exact equivalent between metric and imperial. Buy the right socket from one of the mini spares companies or you will end up damaging the head and/or doing yourself some damage by using the wrong sized socket !
