A few days ago i had headlights but now none and mot at 10am tomorrow...

I have tail lights, side lights but no headlights.

Ive checked fuses, bulbs, traced wiring but nothing. Ive checked the switch by bridging the 3 connectors and the headlights dont come on but the switch does work the headlights fine.

When trying to flash the lights this seems to work the main beam but it doesnt stay on when the stalk is pushed forward or in the dipped beam position.

Anyone any ideas?? Preferably before 10am tomorrow please...

Check the connections under the bonnet slam panel, they may loose / disconnected / wet, and not allowing current to flow to the lamps, check they are connected and then use a multimeter to determine they are getting voltage

I had a similar issue on mine.

Check your stalk for loose connections or a blocked connection around the flasher. Or the two tabs that connect when you pull the stalk or push it away.

Hope this helps!

Miss Marple deduces it's a Mk4 1275GT.

From your description of the headlight flash working, but not the lheadlights, and jerry rigging the rocker switch to no avail, it's most likely the indicator stallk or the blue wire that connects it to the rocker switch. Take the cowl off the column and see if the wire's broken off the stalk.
