Hi All,
I am just re-embarking on getting my little Clubby on the road, believe it or not I've never driven the car forwards! It was originally an auto and the forward drive bands had gone, but it did used to reverse like a demon! I decided I didn't really want to drive an auto, so I ripped out the auto engine subframe and all. I sourced a manual frame and gear linkage and did some repair work and was a topside respray away from getting her back on the road.
Sadly, house moves and divorces have meant that the car has been sat in primer for over 10 years and is now a little worse the wear for it. I don't love this car but after being told by many people that I would never finish it, I am determined to get it done and drive it for a while. In the mean time I will be looking for a nice estate to do up for myself, so this is kind of a trial run if you like.
I have been getting engine and bodywork quotes locally, and think I am going with a local firm I have used before for the paint.
