Hi,

I'm fitting new inner and outer joints on the drive shafts and obviously I don't expect them to just slide in (although that would be nice) but is there a knack to fitting them?

I don't want to whack them with a hammer if I am not supposed to  :proud: .

Thanks

Rod

I use a mallet to knock them on. I also always put the castle nut on the cv joint so its flush with the top of the threads of the cv joint. just to insure you don't damage the threads

thanks Dan

As above sharp strike with a non metallic hammer with joint in a neutral position will do it

As above but also make sure the Cirripedia are seated properly in there groves and press them in to make sure the pot joint and the cv joints can pass over them easily.

That's a relief, I was going to have to ask otherwise!

I've had some awful ones! Here corrected to heterosexual, okey dokey to okay donkey and 'and' to abduction. xxx became a 3 letter word beginning in c that I wont type here (guy at front if rowing boat).

But 'okey dokey, and here xxx' became an epic autocorrect fail that resulted in my missus calling me immediately to see what on earth was happening.
