Hi All,

One question i have is whether it should have a pinstripe and Mayfair decal down the side of my 1994 Mini Mayfair? It has a plastic original mayfair badge on the boot lid but nothing down the side. I know the early Mayfairs had a pinstripe and italic style decal sticker, and later ones have the same but with a bold print decal, but i dont know what mine should have as a 1994 model. Does anyone have a picture of a 1994 to refer to ?

I'm 99% sure all 90's model's would have the decal. The badge was 80's I believe. My 1991 has a decal.

Yep that's the one yours should have. I'd go to stickyfingers decals for it their stuff is top notch and they're on the forum. Contact Roofless

I think it should only have a pin stripe down the side, the decal was on very early 90's Mayfairs. Here are a couple of pics of my 95 Mayfair (before and after mods), just has pinstripe and a Mayfair badge on the boot lid. My mate has a 95 a Mayfair that he has owned from new and it has the same pinstripe/badging as mine. Hope that helps.

Hi,

thanks for the replies.

I am trying to get my 1994 Mayfair looking as original as possible.

Will16's 1991 Mayfair has the decal and psmini's 1995 has just a pinstripe, so it must have changed between 1991 and 1995, but when was was it ??? Does anyone know for sure whether a 1994 has just a pinstripe or the decal and pinstripe ?

many thanks to you all for your help.

regards,

This has stumped me a little. I thought the change came when the Mayfair had the 1275 engine was introduced. I've just looked at the cars currently on sale on auto trader and there is a 1993 K reg with just a pin stripe but there is also a 1993 L reg with the side decal too! Will do some more digging and hopefully get the right answer. :-)

I've just looked at an original 1994 Rover sales brochure on ebay and luckily, one of the images is of a blue Mayfair. I've zoomed in and it only has the pin stripe. Hope that helps. I've got an original brochure for my model year, they are a great reference source (and usually around £10-20 on ebay).

Yep my 95 Mayfair just had the boot plastic badge and a single full length pinstripe with no logos on the side.

I always find that link useful.  Its an archive of classic mini brochures showing all different models and specifications, thanks to this i bought an original brochure for my studio 2 :D

Also interesting for browsing through limited editions, seen a few i had never heard of before
