The BMC & Leyland Show is on this weekend and is looking for more entries for the Mini/MINI concours. Never done concours before? this may well be the show for you as there is a novice class for both Mini and MINI - http://www.bmcandley...o.uk/highlights
If you're Best in Show - you'll win this trophy!
From the Mini perspective, the 1959 Register (http://1959miniregister.com/), the Mini Traveller and Countryman Register (http://www.minitrave...anregister.org/) and the Cooper Sport 500 Register (http://www.cooperspo...register.co.uk/) will be there. John Sheppard (worked with Issigonis on the Mini design) will be on the 1959 Register Stand. Please go and say hello to him, he loves to meet Mini fans. The electric Mini will be on the Mini Traveller and Countryman Register's stand (http://www.theminifo...ini-countryman/) and I think the plans are to have the last classic Mini off the line parked with the other 500s.
There is also the Cowley Convoy to the show, details here - http://www.theminifo...ey-convoy/?hl=+
The BMC & Leyland Show and Cowley Convoy welcomes all BMC, BL, ARG, RG, MG Rover vehicles and current production from both Cowley and Longbridge, so that's MINI, MG3 & MG6 too.
Lots of other BMC & Leyland type stuff, including the last Montego which was signed by the Cowley workforce.
