hi all

been thinking of making something like this (x2):

10494689_10152459730001878_4141336530973

rather than the spit idea i have used in the past.

This would make for a quicker on/off of the frames ( i don't want it left on the frame overnight etc) and a less cumbersome framework when it both in place and stored. (i have the width of drive to roll it over)

can anyone see any flaws with this system, that i may be missing.

cheers

Ryan

very similar, but it'll be bolted through the floor, rather than to the hubs (no subframes)

unfortunately, i dont have anywhere to keep the mattress between welding sessions, and for the most part i will be rotating the mini single handed (probably use both hands actually).

That tipping system has been out a while, you need a lot more room for that than a spit / rollover jig as you need the car width then the area to roll it too, also you need to remove it and fit it the other way to work on the other side !!.

Apart from that if you're just bolting it to the floor that's quite a bit of weight pulling and twisting the thin steel floor pans if the car's on it's side, that type of tip over normally bolts to the wheel hubs.

You can easily roll a shell over on your own, with no frames they weigh nothing!!

A mate of mine rolls them over and then uses axle stands on the pillars to hold them up and stop the sides from getting damaged
