My car is nearing the end of it's time in the body shop, and I've seen in one of the pictures that the one of the wings used has an aerial hole. I really dislike the chrome telescopic aerials and it looks like the electric ones won't have enough clearance with the wheel.

So, would one of these work in its place? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item53f09b9889

I would imagine a signal amplifier would be needed as it's quite short, very low down. More to the point, would it look okay?

Any thoughts welcome :-)

You can be quite creative with a wire coat hanger:

Can't really help you there, mine wouldn't have had a radio originally so there is no hole in the wing.

I did actually. I supplied wings with no holes, but for whatever reason ones with holes were used.

It's not an issue really, as I need ones with side repeater holes anyway due to the age of the car.

My dad's car has a 'bee sting' ariel fitted to the rear quater as it's a cabriolet. Could you not use similar ? It's black in colour. Would be a shame to just shove a bung in the hole on yours.
