[attachment=162023:rotex1.png]For the last 4 years my rotrex supercharged engine has never produced the power I hoped for.

The build cost a fortune but unfortunatly was bodged together by mbe race engines.

ive changed everything i could think of in the engine and this helped but still not the power I hoped for.

Anyway after lots of advise from others in the know ive put it down to the old supercharger bracket and tensioner system or lack of it.

so Ive redone it all.

photos are before and after

what are your thoughts

That's an awful lot of idler pulleys, it seems like you could get rid of at least one of them on the back. How are you driving the water pump with that lower pulley in the way or is it in front of it?

I've used an MPI water pump and crank pulleys on my supercharged set-up

The water pump is behind and not connected to the s/c drive system.

Which pulley could i get rid off.

the top is there to maximise belt wrap on the s/c pully. and is also there to tention the belt, as its cammed.

the middle idler is there to pull the belt away from the auto tentioner on the left which moves as the belt stretches.

the bottom idler is there again to maximise belt wrap.

belt slip on the rotrex s/c is not uncommon if done incorrectly.

the slipping is what im trying to eliminate.

what kind of boost does urs run, this one should be around 16 psi and spins so much faster than the eaton.

i see u just have a manual tensioner, does the belt not slip at all at high rpm, when the belt stretches??

this one u see of mine is a racer and revs to 8000rpm.

what are the down sides to to many pullys????
