Bit of a daft one this. My speedo will only start working after having been driven for about ten minutes,
then for the rest of the day it's fine. I have wiggled it and jiggled it, and made sure its all clipped
and tightened where it should be. Still it joins in when it's ready. Any thoughts gents please.(mk3)

Could be the main needle shaft bearing is worn/dry, if you tap it does it start? if the cables driving in those first 10mins then its inside the head

Could be one of the drives are dry or part seized, try giving it a squirt of silicone spray or wd40, it won't hurt it if it isn't the problem.
