Does anyone know if there is an off the shelf subframe available, that doesn't require modification (i.e. I dont want to be modifying a Suzuki or Honda type subframe) to take a 4E-FTE (Toyota Starlet GT/Glanza V engine)? It's an option thats crossed my mind instead of spending silly money to barely break 100hp with an A-series. It'd be cheaper for starters as GT Starlets are everywhere over here, and the 4E is far more reliable than the A-series. All I need to know is what's available, I know the suspension and brakes definitely need upgrading and driveshafts have to be made to suit, as well as wiring done from scratch, but I have access to people with the know how to make this happen so its not a big issue. It'd be going into my 73 Clubman, preferably retaining the original steel front end if possible as i'm not a fan of one piece flip fronts.

Try www.16vminiclub.com

Would also be worth having a word with Allspeed Engineering.

All the stuff on 16Vminiclub seems to be custom made and looks like a hellish amount of work, working it out it'd be cheaper to go VTEC :/

Will ask Allspeed, although shipping will be a killer, there B series subframes are 650 quid, i'd be looking at probably another 3-400 on top of that to ship, so that's $2000NZD just for a subframe :/ Hardly worth it.

Hmmm, a very expensive and long winded conversion unfortunately :( Nowhere near as cheap as I expected as a lot of custom fab work needs to be undertaken, no off the shelf subframes are available for the 4E... Put it this way, for not much more, I could have a B18CR swap...
