Does anyone know of Mini Master - based in Penrith, Cumbria? I am researching the history of my Mini and have bills from this company. The number no longer connects and I'm keen to find if the company or any of its staff could give me some info relating to my car. Many thanks.

Hi mate,
I went to Penrith a couple of months ago and saw the Mini Master shop just on the left as you enter Penrith just off the M6 junction, i do know that the guy who owns or owned it was ill or something a while back and they closed for a while but, i do believe they are still trading.
There is a mini club in that area called " Cumbria mini cruisers" and i am sure they have a web site so those guys will probably know more about the job.
I think they had rolling road facilities,as i remember an article somewhere regarding the shop. If you have trouble finding out any info on your mini then PM me and i will try to help further.
Reports from the past stated they were a good setup but i never used them as they were further away from me regards other Mini garages.

Kayley Holden is very knowledgeable about the cumbria mini scene and clubs, shops etc. She is on facebook and runs the "splash dash" events.
If i remember, they had a rolling road but as above, the owner was ill or something for a while and they seemed to disappear from the wider mini community.

Due to John taking some time off to have some essential servicing and repairs, and to have a complete break, Minimaster is now closed for the next few months.
In the meantime, George will be planning a new venture with David (his brother) to establish an e-commerce service called MiniTrader, aimed at helping people and very small businesses to trade small things economically.

Just had a look at their website, seems right, but they still might have details about the minis they had dealt with previously, get in touch and see if they can help.

Many thanks everyone for the messages - I will follow up the links.
The car I'm researching is my 1990 Rover Mini Flame with Cooper Conversion registration G722 URG - if anyone knows of the car, please do let me know.
Cheers. R.
