It was a brilliant day and an excellent show - I loved it.
The Cowley Convoy went really well, no one got lost and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The show itself had grown in both size and depth (more models represented and more interesting individual cars) and I hope it continues to grow.
Minis were well represented in the Cowley Convoy (thank you to Mini Invaders ), and there was a good mix of BLARG cars. At the show itself, the 1959 Register, Mini Traveller and Countryman Register and the 500 Cooper Sport Register were all there, all with excellent and interesting Minis. Notable Minis included the electric Mini and a Moulton Mini.
The Landcrabs were celebrating their 50th anniversary and put on an excellent display, managing to get 50 Landcrabs together - no mean feat! There were too many BMC, BL, AR & ARG models represented for me to remember them all, but they also had interesting cars, such as two Leyland P76 (I've never seen them in the metal!), the Moulton Metro and the Skid Maker Metro. If you're into Mini heritage, Cowley or Longbridge heritage, then this is the show for you.
Next year along with organising the Cowley Convoy, I am planning to get a Longbridge Convoy up and running too, so watch this space.
Here are some of my pics from the day
At Cowley - the lead car is the oldest known surviving Montego and the only know one on a A plate

At the show
Interesting one off Princess!
The Mokes
My friend who won his class in the MINI concours. He was more than a bit chuffed!
Prototype 6R4
Good Old JOP
The Leyland P76s. There are only four in this country and these are the only two whose whereabouts are known.
One of Moulton's Minis
My wheels for the day, next to the club think the oldest surviving estate. It's lovely and I have first refusal on it!
The electric Mini
The last Montego which was signed by the Cowley workforce. I photographed all the signatures, but I won't bore you with them all! My husband has been at Cowley for 26 years and so recognised a number of names.
