Hi all.I'm having clutch hydraulics issues so im replacing the slave cylinder. I thought i'd try the clutch pedal to see how much fluid comes out through the disconnected slave hose.the master cylinder resevoir is full but im only getting a few drops out through the hose.Should it be squirting a lot? What could be the problem?Ive got the metal version of the master. If i need a new master, can i replace it with a plastic one? Thanks

It should give a significant "squirt" pressing the pedal with the slave disconnected. It is possible that the hose has collapsed internally or that the master cylinder is defective. I suspect that it may well be the hose. Disconnect the metal pipe from the flexible and try again, I would replace the flexible as a matter of course anyway.
