Right, hepolite make 1275 turbo pistons, but they also have a range of pistons (one im interested in are the +020) with 8.8 compression. These sets are ridiculously cheap (62 pounds from avonbar)...

Question is, will they last in a 1293 turbo motor? The compression seems good for turbo applications...

As they are for normally aspirated use they will have thinner crowns than a Turbo specific piston, so generally will not be able to handle the heat & loads a good Turbo piston would. You may be safe to run a low boost level with these, but as i've never tried them in a Turbo setup i couldn't advise you how robust they are. I guess it's one of those try it and see situations ? Or preferably pay the extra and get some proper Turbo jobbies .......

Phil. :D
