Ive been looking through all the parts i've gotta sell this morning and found that i had a water pump with a spacer i've never seen before, its about 3/4 of an inch wide not like the normal thin one you usually get. Just wondering anyone know anything about this part? Part number is 12G2452

Errm, well you've kind of answered it yourself really. It's a thick water pump spacer. Depending on the exact engine build things like radiator thickness, shroud type, water pump type, radiator brackets and fan blade type can add together to put the fan a different distance into the radiator shroud. The fan must be right inside the shroud to work properly, so different numbers and sizes of spacers are used on different engine builds at the factory.

Keep it, don't sell it. It's exactly right for winding the CV joint up to initial torque before final fixing instead of the special tool Rover make and haynes talks about.
