Hi ive just fitted a stealth black box ignition system to my car. its a box which goes between the dizzy and the coil and It lets you customise the advance curve using a pc. Its really simple and should avoid my pinking problems i had with the original distributor.

does anyone have any ignition advance curve details as i want to start playing around but it would be nice to start in the right ball park. Im running 10.5 to 1 compression and a 296 cam.

Any help much appreciated

Graham

If it were mine I'd set a static setting on 6 degrees. Then have;

Point 1 @ 1 = 0

Point 2 @  900 = 8

Point 3 @ 1500 = 12

Point 4 @ 2000 = 16

Point 5 @ 3000 = 20

Point 6 @ 4000 = 22

Point 7 @ 6000 = 22

the stealth is easy to fit, it takes 10 mins + the time needed to wire off the advance weights in the dizzy, the  software is clunky, you can only upload with the ignition off, the rev limiter is brilliant im pretty chuffed with it, it will be much better when on the dyno. Thanks for all the hints i will bang in the settings above nad see what happens
