Dash Cams

I've searched and read through the topics already on here, but thought I'd ask for some recent recommendations instead of bumping up an old thread. I want 2 so I can have one on the rear too. There is one that looks good on ebay for £25 which records 1080p. What do we think? I don't really want to pay out twice for a GoPro! Lol. Only want to spent £50 each max! Also seen a few with flip screens, but read they're a bit on the big side, so not really ideal in a mini, although it'll be used in other cars too anyway.
So, anyone bought a dash cam recently? Any thoughts?
Cheers

My friend bought a cheap camera and quickly learnt that buying cheap isn't a good plan. They may claim 1080p but that's not always the case.

I have had a couple and got them following reviews on another forum. They are superb for the money and picture quality is very good. I have only changed as I wanted something that would take more punishment so have changed to a Go Pro. There isn't much difference in the picture quality and as a dash cam the möbius is better I think.Cool, cheers Tam. Will have a look now.

I had a few cheap ones and have bought a Blackvue 550. It has a dual camera setup, front and back. Excellent bit of kit. Has a wifi capacity so I can sit in the car and view videos off an app on my phone. Playback on computer is simple and has GPS so position and speed and ability to view footage of front and rear camera at the same time. I got it from Amazon as it was cheaper.
