it sounds like an unrefined ww2 tank or bomber. when you let off the throttle it pops as if its backfiring it isn't but it makes that pop pop sound. makes all the boy racers look like what the hell is that. you can hear it from 2miles away. now booked in to my local rover dealership to get complete new standard exhaust system with fitting for £133. which was the cheapest quote. i was going to get a complete stainless system but i have to keep my cat because of the age on the vehicle. all the correct connectors took the price to silly levels. oh well another week of driving tank i don't mind the neighbours might along with the pigs. but ha ho not my fault i just hope it dont damage the car.

I ran my car without any exhaust system (i.e. just manifold) for a while setting it up etc. and no harm was done ('xcept to my ear drums)

When mine was blowing the other day, I was lovin' it. Then when I took the car to the mechanic to get the tracking seen to, he fixed the exhaust as well! the b****rd! Now it sounds like a granny car.. *grumble* :cheese:
