I have an alexander Inlet manifold which I'm told is rather rare, and have seen one recently sold for around £100, does anyone know much about these?

i only know very little and it's not mini related! All i know is that alexander used to make tuning parts for cars in the (i think) 50's and 60's

I'm sure they made parts for things like the classic fords, pops, anglias etc. But from what i can gather they're stuff is pretty scarce like aquaplane parts.

Are you thinking about selling it, or just curious as to what you've got?

Alexander made aftermarket parts for various makes of 60/70s cars, I had one of their twin 1 1/4" Stromberg Kits with Manifold and Filters on a Tuned Viva engine, not sure they flow and better than O.E mind? Vizard may have reference in his yellow book? Like any parts from that era its getting rare nowdays.

I've also read ( maybe Vizard ?) that the Alexander manifold flow was maybe worse than OE.  But someone looking for a period piece may want it....definately not for improving performance though

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231283762031 here's a link to the ebay site! For pics also, I don't know if the pricing is too ambitious but I recently saw one sell for around £200
