Hi guys/girls,

Went out getting quotes today on getting my rear quarters replaced. Needless to say the prices have varied from the thousands to the hundereds!

This is for installation no paint. I'm not skilled enough to be let near the car with a welder the mrs would never forgive me!

Best one I've had is £300 a side. That pretty reasonable? I just don't want to get ripped off.
That's me supplying the panels, magnum panels (I know I know heritage are better!)

And if not anyone local to bucks want to make a few quid and beat that? Ha ha. I just want her looking nice and want to take every avenue to avoid bodging with filler!

Thanks!

Neal

300 quid a side is very cheap, it's a fairly big job to remove and refit them well.

Ask to see some of the other work done by the place

If you want to avoid a lot of filler I'd buy the better panels. I'd budget for what's behind them as well.. Could well need some other work if the outer is gone.

the pattern rear qtrs  that go up the b and c posts fit ok,  if the car is solid no other repairs then its not that long to do a rear qtr

+1, budget panels will fit although you may have some minor issues. Heritage can be as bad in certain cases. It really is down to what you can afford.

i have fitted quite a few non gen rear quarters and i have found them to fit well with only moderate tweeking around the arch and along the b post line. i do resto work to minis allmost every day, and when im not doing that its other cars or boats. i think £300 a side is ok but i could do them for £180 a side assuming the surrounding areas are good.

if you are interested but would like assurance on the quality of my work there are plenty of people on here who will put yur mind at ease. pm me if your interersted
