I am looking at replacing the standard minilite wheels on my 96' Mayfair, and was looking at a set of D1 replicas, i know that a usual rule of thumb is 5x12 is as large as you can go without cutting the arches (although every mini is different), but these have a pretty large offset of 25, do people think that this will still fit, i want to avoid cutting the arches if i can.

Also, what arches would people reccomend for that, ive currently got a set of standard ones, but what do people think to group 2's?

Thanks in advance.

I've seen them fit under standard arches before.

I normally drive around with a set of original 10" D1s on a Cooper S brake setup, they do stick out of the standard wheel arch a wee bit, but where I live they're just about legal and the protrusion isn't too noticeable. I'd imagine the 12" replicas would be the same offset.

Large offset? MWS d1's have a skinny offset, its the dunlops that have the wide offset. I run the later, and havent trimmed the arches, yet they just poke out from std group 2's

I used to run original 12*5 D1's under special arches on drums, looked slightly over hatted would be fine with discs.

I run original 10*5 D1's on my mk2 on S discs no arches. Not strictly legal. Looks mint!
