Hi, has anyone painted wheel nuts before? If so, how well have they lasted?

Normally I'd buy a nice new chrome set, but as they're mini 'special' nuts they cost a fair bit, so thought about painting them and whether it's worth it as once taken them off the once they'll probably already start to look scabby again.....

Cheers, Jamie

A bloke i used to work with had a fourtrack which was mint. He loved it and he used to paint his wheel nuts about once a year.

I have always thought though, surely you would scratch the paint when tightening the bolts back up?

But yeah, about a year i would say before they start looking bad again but it all depends on what paint you use. He used a Wurth one i think

Ben

Alright well I suppose I might as well give it a go eh

Don't know what colour to do though. Black, silver, or even white to match the wheels?

Mask the wheel & paint when in situ so as not to scratch when replacing/tightening.

You can buy a full set of coloured or chrome nut covers on the bay for a tenner.
