Hi all

My mini is in need of some work and, like most people, trying to find someone who shares my passion is hard to find.

"scrap it", "its a girls car" etc are some of the responses from "normal" mechanics who are, in my opinion, arseholes.

Does anybody on here know or can recommend anyone in Cornwall ( Truro ) i can trust with my beloved? ( Don't tell the wife I said that!!)

Thanks in advance :-)

Dave

How about Mac Whites at Tavistock?
Bit of a run for you, but if all else fails.....
I think they have six or seven derivatives of the Mini that they run on a daily basis.
If you're at a loose end Sunday, there's a run from Fraddon maccie d's to wadebridge wheels car show, there should be about 70 or so minis.
Might get some good local advice there.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice.

The immediate work to get her through an mot are, quelle surprise, the sills need replacing and a wheel bearing ( i have the replacement bearing ). I will give Tim Kelly a ring.

And i would love to have gone on the run Ellie, but my girl hasn't got a mot yet. But soon hopefully!! :-)

Thanks again

M&C White do great mini work, they are a general car mechanic not a specialist, but Mark does do exceptional mini and variant work. Mark has loads of experience with minis I don't think I could recommend anyone else in the area over him. Great welding & mechanical work. They are not a respray shop, although mark is pretty handy with a rattle can as I found out when I have my sills and some of the rear quarters replaced.
