I bought a whole new set to try and use the key to get mine off, no luck.Ended up driving a 17mm socket on and just wrenching them out.

Good luck

Yeah, just knock an old 12-point socket onto it, then buy a new set of nuts with a key.

I have used "special lock nut removing tools" it is basically a threaded socket, that you wind on until it cuts into and bites the wheel nut. It worked well for 2 nuts, but then the nut got stuck in the tool.

Irwin do a nut removal socket set. They work a treat on that type of locking nut.

Here you go:

http://www.amazon.co...words=Irwin nut

There is also an expansion set with more sizes in. Just measure the width of the locking nut and buy the set with that size in.
