Ok Guys , this is my project on the go at the moment , a flame red 1000cc , its a bit rough but basicaly sound , I have fitted a sill , an "A"panel , it needs the other one as well and a new front panel after that a re-spray , I am running around at the moment in a MG Metro , the engine from this is going into the mini, I have a time limit to have this finished as i intend entering a rally in the midle of febuary.
You can see a picture of what it loos like at the moment ( if this works!)
If you cant see the picture i will have to get someone who knows what the are doing to have a go
Edited: added pictures

Well after lots of poking and grinding the list of panels she needs is :
n/s sill
o/s sill
n/s "A" panel
o/s "A" panel
o/s/f wing
front panel (complete)
bonnet
rear valence
boot lid
boot lid hinge panel
o/s/f door skin
oh yea and when i removed the petrol tank i found the filler neck had a leak and had been bodged with some filler so,
petrol tank.
all the panels are ordered (or have arrived)
I love the fact that mini panels are so cheap I used to have a fiat X19 the front wings were 350quid each , mini 18quid
I will put up photos as i progress(if i ever find how to )

Yes , imagine the mini flips onto its roof, the cage feet would punch holes through the floor
and the roof would squash level with the top of the doors, not good if you are harnessed into a bucket seat !
I will use 10cm square plates about 3mm thick welded to the floor and then the bolts for the cage feet go through the plates and floor and as my car has 2 new sills it should be stronge enuf , also the roll cage bolts go through the sills and make great jacking points.

YES ! santa was kind this year (well my missus) and now i have a nice new pair of sabelt harnesses to bolt in when the mini is ready
Now i need a pair of buckets , i am tracking a pair on e-bay , but they are getting close to the price of a pair of new ones !, I will have to get a budget pair at first and then maybe upgrade as/if funds allow .
