And as you can buy the tyres new for < £50 inc VAT each... why bother

I was interested in the Tyres but for not more than £100.

Jonny, there is a set of 10x5 miniator alloy with tyres in the for sale section. Good price too! I was going after them (well I still want them) but can't collect at the mon

I have been looking at them but I cannot collect from Hastings :-(

 

I am watching about 5 sets on Fleabay

Why are these trailer wheels and not suitable for a car ?

Why are these trailer wheels and not suitable for a car ?

 

I'd also like to know as if you look at another post I have recently put up I bought a random some wheels and tyres from Ebay on a whim and ended up spookily with another two of these - I must be cursed. They seem pretty solid, the only reason I could see that they are restricted to Trailers would be a speed or weight limitation?

I'm from South Africa and we had Smith wheels fitted to the first Clubman Rebel which was a limited edition between 1982 and 1983 .

They look exactly like those "trailer wheels" Plus they were also fitted to Venter Trailers.In fact there are a lot of Minis running here with those wheels fitted!
