T4W BA9s 1 6V, 12V, 24V: 4W Old designation: T8/4 100px-T4W_lamp.JPG

Is this this one above? I would like to replace with LED,  to save me taking the dash out more than once I thought I'd just ask which bulbs they are?

+1 - also how did you get the bulb out of the holder. Terrified that I might smash it in my hand as it seems to require a lot of pressure.

I used these. They didn't fit the speedo but worked a treat in the temp & oil gauges

But that doesn't fit the oil pressure gauge does it?  I had a memory of them being bayonet fit?

Mine are definitely screw in types. Maybe they change it on certain years?

I was fiddling about behind the dash and remembered this thread.  I haven't found out what bulb I need yet.  Anyone?

Not sure if these would work ... http://www.moss-euro....uk/5c16d1.html

Otherwise try car builder solutions site ... http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/

Cheers Gazza, that Moss one looks like it might do but maybe too bright?  BA9s might well be the info I need though.

I replaced a small 1.2W capless bulb with a single white led which makes my Alfa's red backlit gauges look orange ... So I know what you mean ... Am going to try red ones soon. But I have feeling I need to go back to bulbs.
