On my twin SUs, I'm using Ram Air filter socks and ram pipes.
These are the socks I'm using http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Multiple tests have found them to be more efficient than other performance filters (there was a Youtube video I think, can't find it now but I'll keep looking as I want to see it again), they also sound amazing.

I looked into that but apparently for all the good they do you may as well run with no filters.
There's something about them in one of Vizards books.

Gauze filters or "tea strainers" will only stop large debris from entering the carb. As HarrysMini said there is a very good section on air filtration in Vizard's bible of which Vizard advises against running with these or without an air filter.
Vizard recommends K&N airfilters. My brother uses one on his race winning Cooper S and he's running a Webber 45.
ITG are another good brand of airfilter (they supply F1 teams and lot's of rally teams etc).
Filter socks are not as good as a proper air filter, but are a-lot better than running gauze filters or no air filter. I spoke to Andy Jackson at ITG about this as I was thinking of ITG running trumpet socks on Project 45. He advised against it and I ended up getting a proper ITG filter for my twin Webber 38's.

Iv been told I need to run at least 65mm ram pipes which means I can't run the size down from my filter
