Following on from the rollered thread who's used one of these?

Does moisture not get into the paint as theirs no water trap?

Would Cellulose or Rustoleum paint be better or something else? Really considering this or rollering when the tine comes.

Agree with henri1972 but good results can be achieved if you take you time.

If you have read the roller thread, you will see the pictures of what i achieved under a marquee with an earlex spray station using 2K car paint

They are constant bleed and warm air so don't think moisture is a problem, paint might ended thinning more than normal but as long as you take your time and so good prep would have thought a good result could be had. To paint properly with a compressor and get good quality dry air would cost a lot more

Main reason Im looking at these two techniques is Im working on the car in single garage in a block. I have to run an extension lead out as it is. I think overspray could be a problem with other vehicles around and also cost is important to me.

Just don't buy the cheapest one have a look at the slightly better ones as the gun is much better. Someone I now sprayed a mini with an old vacuum cleaner attachment spray gun and it's one of the best paint jobs I have seen and that was done outside. It's very similar to these set ups.

There are some very cheap electric spray guns on the market. The type you spray the garden fence with but these are best avoided for this application as i think it would be hard to get the paint on nicely.

The paint jobs i did with the earlex were ok but it was a bit of a faff to get it to a good standard. and be aware that the vacuum unit blows air out so make sure it doesn't kick dust up all over the wet paint like i did on my first attempt.

Ive had superb results with an Apollo, I'm not an experienced painter by any means but results were fantastic. I was using cellulose paint

I liked the idea of the Earlex 5500 but all Ive found is the 1900 which Im guessing is no good. Everywhere seems to say the 5500 is out of stock!
