I know there are a lot of threads about re-torqueing heads - however, here´s my question...

Once you´ve torqued all the nuts, you run it warm, let it cool and re-torque, right?

But - in what order do you loosen the nuts (and how much)?

One nut at a time or loosen all then re-tourqe?

If one-a-time... do you start with the last one you torqued the initial sequence? Or the last one (backwards)?

I have a Monotorque gasket (says it needs no re-torque) that is starting too seep a tiny bit between head and block, so considering to re-torque it...

If it's a monotorque head gasket I'd take the head off and find out why it's seeping

Using the same sequence as for initial torqueing-up, back each nut off 1/2 of one full turn, then re-torque doing one at a time to the specified full torque. Ideally a couple more lb.ft. than at initial torqueing-up.

Then re-set the valve clearances.
