Hi everyone, I've just been and picked up some seats that my dad won on eBay at the weekend.

They are from a 3 door car so slide forward on the runners when they tilt.

As anyone fitted 1 series seats before, and if so how.

I was going to get a friend to cover the rears by stripping the BMW ones to make a cover and then clipping them to the mini frame.

Thanks guys
Ellie

Hello Ellie, I found this old thread on the forum with people fitting various types of seats into there minis such as BMW Z3 seats, Vauxhall, MX5's, Honda seats etc so its worth checking it out http://www.theminifo...ic-mini/page-19

Other than that I think its just a case of fitting them onto frames with runners but I haven't done this yet myself though!!

I read through all 33 pages and saw the 3 series ones.
I don't think they're any different to other flat runner seats.
I just liked the idea of the seat lifter and the nice recliner.
And the fact that they slide forward as they tilt. Giving good access.

Thanks hun

They're in!

Just waiting for the guy my dad knows to sew all the pieces together to make the rear covers.
I'll get some pictures up when my dad has mounted the rear runners, they fit a treat though, keeping the rise and fall function, nice recliners. Back squab nearly fit straight in, but ididntwant to use the third headrest.
As I say, piccies soon!
