I'm helping a friend who crashed his rally car to rebuild it, it was hit hard at the front and we've been working at it now for 7 months. It has a remote gear linkage, think that's name for it, it's a solid aluminium one that mount to the back of the gearbox casing with 4 bolts, but we can't get gears only front and back movement, we want to make sure we are fitting it correctly before we start and remove the engine and box to see if the issue is in there. Can anybody give me some help or a guide on how to fit it please.

have you located the fork to the peg correctly..........and have you taken the two arms apart above the diff casing and put them back properly.....

Two arms above diff casing? I never removed them, I just mounted it up thinking fork was in correct position
