Hello

i have for sale a modified 998 block.  this is a used block, but the bores are still in good condition, so should not need a rebore
this block is a perfect starting point for someone who wants to build a nice fast road 998 with a 1275 head.

the work the block has had:

bored +0.040"
pocketed ( for the use of a 1275 head)
block has been tapped for 11 studs
oil galleries tapped for grub screws
centre main strap.

the block has been refresh:

core plugs, oil gallery screws and cam bearings removed, and has been cleaned and degreased
removed old paint and repainted red
top of the block has been refaced
bored have had a very light honed( just to clean up)
New core plug fitted
refitted , oil pressure ball and spring with adjuster, oil pressure switch , oil filter housing and pipe

it also comes with the flat top piston which were removed from this block, which are in good condition.

parts that are not in the photos,

both tappet chest covers.
dizzy clamp
alternator bracket

as you can see from the photos the block is in good condition, ready to be built up to a nice fast road engine with a 1275 head.

Collection is welcome from Eastbourne , East Sussex,

I will be at the IMM this weekend from friday- monday. so collecting from there is fine

i can post but it won't be cheap due to weight, so prefer collection

Looking for £170. OVNO

Edit.

Block will now not come with cam bearings. There was a bit of a mix up.

So the price has been reduced from £200 - £170. To cover the cost of bearings ( £13) and having them fitted.

Thanks.

Good bargain, will save someone plenty of time and money. If i could afford it i'd take it off your hands.
