When I re built the car I put the wires under the grill back as standard using the brass builet connectors and those black plastic connectors.

Now i have soldered the buillets but i want to do away with the plastic connectors as thay are loose and starting to corrode already.

Whats the best way to do this? What have you done?

Any help would be great.

I always use new bullets and the metal bullet sleeve and connectors, once assembled a small wipe of petroleum jelly into each end sorts out the corrosion

I think, if I remember correctly, I made new looms up, one for each side, as I had to rewire most of the engine bay, so I had solid wires going under the slam panel, these then joint onto the main loom, near the bulk head (if I remember rightly, possibly at the inner wing, via a multi-plug, like modern cars have. I think I bout a kit on ebay, which came with the plug, and all the relevant crimp connector things that go in the plug.

Like these ones

Just an idea. We used these a lot for wiring fog lights, etc, at my old work where I used to build rally cars and things like that.

Put the following item number into e/bay search and it will bring up the connectors
