Ive got an Aldon Kit fitted on my 1984 998 A+ (Deceliure Type)

What is this best setting for the Advance timing, under load and idle when done with a timing light, Just a little worried about the posibility of pinking!

On the timing marks (look like a couple of teeth), which is TDC taken from?

The large pointer is TDC set the advance at idle with the vac off and the rest of the advance curve is done by the weights and internal springs

As much advance as you can get without pinking, if it pinks retard it a little till it stops pinking

The Ducellier was timed at 8º + 0º -2º BTDC at 1500 rpm, with the vacuum pipe disconnected and pluged for a 83-87 car as a base setting, if that helps.
