Aahhhh finally got my Mini Back !! Just wanted to know if everyone else suffers the way i do when i drive it. It seems to be quite heavy on fuel. It drinks like my 2.5 V6 Beemer Convertible. Isit just mine or is everyone else's like this. Half a tank lasts me around 2-3 days. Local driving ? Or is there something wrong with it ?

Hello ityshabir and welcome, good to hear you got your mini back. This forum is aimed at the classic mini although some members also own the new mini too, you might want to check out www.mini2.com forum it is for the new mini and worth signing up there and asking those guys for some advice on your car. Best of luck

Welcome to the forum, you may be better off asking on the mini2 forum as this is predominantly classic minis.

But we had a bmw mini 1.6 on a 53 plate and from memory it revved quite high and probably returned around 35-40mpg on average.

Our new (12 plate) 1.6 cooper is better but it's six speed which helps drop the revs a bit.

It all depends on your driving style and also you don't mention how many miles your getting out of your half tank.

It's hard to say without knowing a bit more detail on the distance your traveling and the amount of fuel your using.

The auto express review says that the manufacturers stated combined mpg is 48.7, but in there test, they achieved something closer to 32 although this included time on a test track.

I've always found manufacturer quoted mpg figures to be a tad on the optimistic side. I'd say a figure in between the two would be okay, anything below the lower figure may be a problem.

Hopefully there's another owner out there who may be able to give you a figure.
