Hi guys

On my new motor I have this type of bottom pulley:-

But I'm also running megajolt system with a trigger wheel, but it will not fit into this type of pulley, as you can see from this picture:-

So do you think that I can undo the Allen bolts, redrill 4 new holes and bolt it directly onto the pulley, instead of being held on with the large pulley bolt

Please let me know what you think. I guess my other option is to remove the centre section and get a new piece machined so it will fit into this type of pulley

Cheers

Kevin

That should be fine. Just make sure it is central.

Are you running a cam belt in place of the chain?

Yes it is fitted with a cam belt kit.

I wonder whether that is where the difference is?

The cam belt kit is not causing the problems, it's due to that it's not running the standard v belt pulleys, it has toothed belt pulleys and the internal dia of the bottom pulley is too small to fit the trigger wheel.

As long as the cut out is in the correct place, it cant move and you line the sensor up correctly it will work fine...
