Hi;

I need to weld in a new Fuel Tank Securing Bracket onto the Boot Floor (LH side somewhere between the Rear Arch and Boot Lid??).

Can someone give me some measurements so that I get it in the correct place.

The Fuel Tank has been sprayed ready to fit and I don't want to scratch it up just to fit the bracket :-)

The Fuel Tank is held in by a single metal 'strap' that is bolted high up on the back of the Rear Seat LH side runs over the top of the Fuel Tank and bots to the bracket that I need to weld in.

Also this is a very crude albeit original way of securing in the Fuel Tank and to avoid scratching the Fuel Tank could I use a Nylon Strap of are there any MOT proof alternatives?

Thanks

I have bits of felt on the strap and lhs of the tank. This will stop any scatches.
