Hi All,

Sorry to make another topic on this subject, I have read through numerous topics already.

I have bought a 4pdt On-On toggle switch to fit as a hazard switch in my car

I understand that the two points that join together need to be connected to the left and right indicators and then the other wires can go on any of the points.

I have tried wiring it up but with no success. From the picture below would someone be able to tell me which wires need to go on which connectors as I am totally stuck now!

Thanks

James

Just to point out too, my thumb is on the bottom of the switch and my finger is on the top (picture is sideways)

You need to join together all the common terminals for every pole of the switch, that should be the four running up the middle. Then the 2 cables of the power feed for the indicator flasher go to any two terminals on whichever side is active when the switch is set to off, and the remaining cables (hazard flasher out, left, right and hazard repeater lamp) go to the four terminals that are active when the switch is on.

Hi Dan,

Was hoping you would reply! :)

I think I understand that (certainly wasn't how I had wired it up)

I'll have a go tonight and see how I get on.

Thanks for your help

James
