Help, never had this happen before. All I did was start my engine and noticed a bit of smoke. Yes that is all oil on the floor.

I'd say oil drain from turbo, or oil feed to turbo, unless something more serious has gone pop. Keep us up dated on your findings.

Nothing went Bang. I'm hopeful it's just a pipe that has come off. I'm going to hopefully investigate tonight after work.

I know nothing about turbos so I cannot comment on the advice and suggestions above.

When you started the engine and saw the smoke, had you moved the car or was it sitting still the whole time?

An oil leak that found its way onto the exhaust pipes while standing still cannot come from too many places and frankly I cannot think of a good source for oil leaking down the back of the block.

The slope shown in the picture suggests that the leak is along the midline of the car/engine which could mean the filter came loose, the oil feed pipe from the filter head to block came loose, or perhaps the oil pressure warning switch (or gauge line) sprang a leak.  For that much oil to be dumped on the pavement that fast requires pressure... unless you somehow cracked the sump and it all leaked out while parked.

The oil feed to the turbo had come loose and this was the reason. Put it back in place and everything was fine
