1979 MINI SCAMP 850cc. SPARES OR REPAIR

PJBB68.jpg

For sale, 1979 Mini Scamp kit car.
Great little run-around, loads of fun, very nippy little car with a decent engine. We have had her for 5 years but are selling now as we don't have time (due to other projects) to do the work needed to get her back on the road (electrics mostly).
She comes with no tax or MOT, hence spares or repairs.
Good points - until recently a first time starter in all weathers; economical; cheap to tax and insure; doors are on open hinges and lift off easily; roof used to lift off but has been painted shut; rare 10 inch wheels with decent tyres (including spare); alternator and master and slave brake cylinders replaced last year; tow bar but no electric connection.
Not so good - has been well looked after but wear and tear inside and out as to be expected; paintwork peeling in places; handbrake needs adjusting;brakes probably need an overhaul; needs Redex or similar lead replacement additive when filling up (not expensive).
Electrics - developed a fault and I found some circuits that were burnt out and some that were not in a very good state. She now starts intermittently but the wiring gets too hot to safely drive her so will need towing with a trailer board. She probably needs a complete re-wiring (?).
She is constructed on a Mini chassis, with aluminium panels on a box welded steel frame and so is very light and has surprisingly little rust.
She is listed as blue on the V5C.
I have included everything here but any questions, please ask.
Viewing recommended.
An ideal restoration / renovation project.
